JOLIET JUNIOR COLLEGE 2+2 PROGRAM IN SOCIAL WORK

Joliet Junior College students can seamlessly transfer to »ÆÉ«µçÓ° after earning their associate’s degree. Students will earn the Associate of Applied Science at JJC and then transfer to »ÆÉ«µçÓ° to complete the Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with the option to complete the MSW in one additional year. »ÆÉ«µçÓ° BA and MSW programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education’s Commission on Accreditation (CSWE).

Students at JJC may transfer up to 71 credit hours. Students will then transfer to »ÆÉ«µçÓ° University to complete their remaining two years, 57 credit hours at the Romeoville campus.

If a student would like to earn their MSW, they can do so in one additional year.

Tuition

JJC courses are taught at JJC tuition rates, while the remaining »ÆÉ«µçÓ° courses are completed and paid based on »ÆÉ«µçÓ° tuition rates.

WHO CAN ENROLL?

  • Students who are enrolled in or have completed the Associate of Applied Science degree program at JJC as outlined in the JJC/»ÆÉ«µçÓ° 2+2 agreement.
  • Students completing the Associate of Applied Science degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 (on a 4.0 scale).
  • New students to JJC who indicate their intent to enter the partnership program with »ÆÉ«µçÓ°. Students can apply for dual enrollment to JJC and »ÆÉ«µçÓ°.
